Platform Overview

Product

Mission Console is used by teams to manage challenges in a project-based environment. Projects can be created from scratch, or a template can be used to ease development and expedite the project’s execution.

Three components work together to help teams  execute successful projects.

  • Team Management
  • Challenge Management
  • Change Management

Modules and Templates are available to add depth and breadth of information to projects.

Team Management: At the heart of Mission Console is a project-based system that facilitates team organization, plan formulation, and plan execution. Dashboards provide guidance and performance analysis. Modules and Templates extend plans.

Challenge Management: A sub-system within Mission Console is used to maximize opportunities and minimize problems. Experts can be brought into projects to provide guidance and insight.

Change Management: Global-to-local plan changes can be created and executed immediately. Local and remote teams can  respond instantaneously to challenges that surface.

Community projects benefit commercial users in a number of ways. In addition to generating goodwill, community projects can be used to research markets.

Team Management

Mission Console is a contemporary team management solution.

  • Team members engage the system using a Heads Up Display (HUD).
  • Each user’s HUD provides access to their personalized project plan.
  • Dashboards provide detailed reporting at each level of the hierarchy.
  • Modules and templates add information and workflow to projects.
  • Challenges are managed using sub-projects.
  • Change management is immediate.

Challenge Management

Mission Console contains a sub-system that manages opportunities and problems. Each root project contains two sub-projects. One sub-project is used to manage opportunities. The other sub-project is used to manage problems.

Opportunity Maximization

Teams have a higher likelihood for succeeding when they are prepared to capitalize on opportunities that surface while engaged in a project. Mission Console features a challenge management sub-system that helps teams systematically capitalize on opportunities and minimize problems. Dashboards provide measurement and reporting. Modules and Templates supplement plans.

Problem
Minimization

Problems, as with death and taxes, are inevitable. Mission Console contains a sub-system that manages opportunities and problems in a structured, documented manner. Teams work collectively to overcome challenges using techniques that lead to successful project outcomes. Dashboards provide detailed measurement and reporting. Modules and Templates extend the platform.

... Challenge Management Sub-Projects

The root plan item in all Mission Console projects has two sub-projects attached to it. One sub-project is used to capitalize on opportunities. The other sub-project is used to minimize problems. Sub-teams can be assigned to specific opportunities and/or problems. Dashboards measure progress down to the plan item level. Teams are kept abreast of the effectiveness of plan adaptations. Functional, skill and industry specialists can be added to build depth and breadth to the team’s knowledge base. Asynchronous, on-demand functionality allows for continuous participation from remote locations.

... Challenge Management Master-Projects

Master Projects can be created that focus on a specific opportunity or problem (excludes Enterprise License). Teams can  be formulated containing the expertise needed to achieve the goal at-hand.

Planning Synergies offers Challenge Management services using a PaaS (Project-as-a-Service) model. Planning Synergies will host projects for a specific duration, help organize specialists that participate in projects, and formulate a toolkit containing the assets needed to execute a successful project.

Change Management

Members of the team can be brought together to discuss plan alterations.

Team members can submit options and vote their preferences.

Adaptations to plans can be authorized and disseminated immediately.

Modules & Templates

Modules and Templates accomplish similar objectives using different techniques. Both expedite the development and execution of projects by providing teams with pre-packaged solutions. That’s where their similarities end.

Modules and Templates service commercial projects and community projects. They are created by experts in their respective fields.

Modules

Modules are fixed in structure, allowing for automated exchange of information with other Modules. They are plug-and-play in nature. Once downloaded, they are ready for use.

... more about Modules

Modules are added to plans in a structured, aligned manner. The HiPa model is used to expedite the development and distribution of essential information, such as strategies, analysis, and intelligence. Experts can be brought in on-demand to add perspectives and support plan development. Dashboards provide the monitoring and reporting necessary to gauge enterprise, organizational, departmental, team and individual performance. Change management functionality allows for immediate plan adaptations. Data points provide alerts and communicate ongoing progress. Local to global challenge management facilitates immediate responses to events.

Modules can be used within different license classes. An enterprise can employ a Module across all organizations participating in a project. An organization can employ a Module across all departments within the entity. A department can employ a Module across all teams within a functional area. Teams can employ a Module across a group of users. And finally, a user can employ a Module individually.

Templates

Templates are dynamic in nature. Templates provide our business partners with the ability to jump-start projects using pre-packaged solutions. Templates can be customized to meet the needs of different clients.

... more about Templates

The primary purpose of a Template is to make it easy for Planning Synergies business partners to respond to changing client needs. Challenge management, by nature, involves change. Templates provide the flexibility to responding to changing environments while still possessing the structure needed to communicate quickly and effectively.

Subject matter experts (SMEs) can apply to have Templates distributed across the Mission Console platform user base. SMEs retain all rights to their Templates. This positions the SME to generate billable hours helping end-users customize their Templates. It also positions SMEs to help end-users respond to Challenge Management projects.

Templates can be “certified” and reclassified as a Module. This process involves mapping the information that is exchanged across the platform. Subject matter experts (SMEs) apply to have Templates certified. Once accomplished, this positions the SME to distribute the Module across the platform user base.

Templates are used to expedite the development and execution of commercial and community projects. They are used to expedite improvements in functional, skill and industry operations within commercial organizations. They are also used to facilitate improvements in living standards within communities. Modules are fixed in structure, allowing for automated exchange of information with other Modules. Modules are plug-and-play in nature. Once downloaded, they are ready for use. Templates, in contrast, are dynamic in nature. Templates make it easy for members of the local Platform Cooperative to modify them to accommodate end-user needs and circumstances.

Partners

Each city that joins the Mission Console network constitutes a single team. Five partner groups contribute to the makeup of each city’s team, including businesses, commercial subject matter experts, community subject matter experts, citizens and impact investors. These five groups combine to form a platform cooperative (Co-op). Project participants earn equity in their Co-op. The Co-op works collectively to help project teams in their city succeed. The Co-op also decides which projects the city engages in.

  • Each city forms its own platform cooperative.
  • Co-op members are compensated.
  • The Co-op serves as a local Expert Network.

Network Experts

Access to the expertise that is needed – when it is needed.

Platform Cooperatives serve as Network Experts. Network Experts are compensated for helping local teams execute successful projects. As members of the platform cooperative, successful projects lead to successful teams, which leads to greater compensation for each team member.

Commercial & Community Teams

A commercial platform that serves communities.

Mission Console is designed to generate economy activity in high-priority, high-return areas. Including businesses, experts and citizens in projects introduces the most powerful, most promising method for formulating solutions that are most likely to be implemented. Capital is invested in areas that citizens deem most important. Businesses generate revenue particpating in projects that also generate goodwill. Citizens are provided with the opportunity to help overcome challenges they are familiar with, and that impact them most. Including citizens in the development of solutions to problems is prudent because citizens are the ones that must implement the solutions that are created in order for projects to succeed. All participants benefit when projects succeed, creating a win-win-win environment.

Commercial Team

How It Works

Online Town Hall Meetings

Putting the power of numbers at citizens fingertips.

Local town hall meetings are held online. Teams vote to determine the focus of projects. Meetings are 30 days in length, giving people an opportunity to contribute quality content. Internet access is all that is required to contribute.

Mission Console enables distributed challenge management. Complex challenges are managed by distributing goals across regional, national and global teams.

U.N. Strategic Development Goals

Creating a healthy alliance between the earth
and the people that inhabit it.

The United Nations is engaged in a long-term project to help the world overcome the challenges posed by climate disruption. A key challenge in this effort relates to creating local groundswells that faciliate the changes needed to stave off the extinction of the human race. In response, Mission Console is engaging in projects that align with the U.N.s Strategic Development Goals.

Gamification

The game … that’s not a game.

Cities engage in competitions against other cities. Commercial and community project activity is used to create a cumulative score. High-performing projects advance to the regional, national and global level, earning higher levels of compensation for teams.

Clearly designed to motivate people, this is more than a game. A monumental catostrophy is unfolding, in slow motion, before our very eyes. The longer we wait to take action, the more difficulty we are going to have overcoming the challenges that are on the horizon.

Ballot Initiatives

People brought together with common goals
are one of the most powerful forces on earth.

Ballot initiatives are an effective method for implementing laws that citizens want. Ballot initiatives are a natural complement to online town hall meetings. We are taking Mission Console to market in states that allow ballot initiatives to provide citizens with a stronger, more powerful voice in government.

Network Operations Center

Projects that improve living standards and sustain the earth that sustains us.

Mission Console is a collective planning and challenge management platform that:

  • Continuously improves the lives of citizens;
  • Contributes to the creation of products and services that sustain the planet that sustains us.

People brought together with common goals and motivations are one of the most powerful forces on earth.

Planning Synergies is on a mission to create a network operations center that puts citizens to work overcoming local, regional, national and global challenges.
